Kansas Redux? : responding to the Michigan neo-creationism legislation
Dr. Robert T. Pennock, Michigan State University Professor of Science and Technology and Professor of Philosophy, delivers a talk entitled, "Kansas Redux?: Responding to the Michigan Neo-Creationism Legislation." Pennock reviews recent developments in the creationist movement and discusses what is wrong with the creationist argument that "intelligent design" should be taught in public schools. He describes the political environment surrounding the issue in Kansas and now in Michigan and the strategies used by proponents of creationism. Pennock answers questions from the audience.
