Energy Secretary nominee and former Texas Governor Rick Perry, testifies before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee in this excerpt from his confirmation hearing. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) chairs the hearing and makes opening statements. Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) introduce Perry. Following his introductory remarks, Perry answers questions about comments he made during his presidential bid about ending the EPA and denying global warming.
