Dr. Kenneth Crews talks about copyright, fair use, and the legal structures that influence and control the use of intellectual property. Crews explains what is granted to authors and creators under copyright law. He describes who may use material, under what circumstances and with what permissions. He proposes several changes to copyright law to make it more effective and fair then answers questions from the audience. Crews directs the Copyright Management Center at Indian University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. Crews is introduced by Clifford H. Haka, Director of the Michigan State University Libraries.
