President Donald Trump announces that the United States will withdraw from the the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran Nuclear deal. Trump says that the agreement is "defective at its core," and alleges that the U.S. has proof that Iran has continued to pursue nuclear capability. He also says that he has ordered the reinstatement of harsh sanctions and announces that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is en-route to North Korea to prepare for Trump's meeting with Kim Jong-un.
