U.S. President Donald Trump talks about trade policy and the economy
President Donald Trump claims his administration has drastically improved the U.S. economy and a cites a gross domestic growth of 4.1% for the second quarter of 2018 as proof. Trump asserts that the economy has grown in part due to tax cuts and reducing the trade deficit. Trump also thanks North Korea Leader Kim Jong Un for fulfilling his promise to return the remains of U.S. soldiers killed during the Korean War. Kevin Hassett, White House Council of Economic Advisers Chair, and Larry Kudlow, White House National Economic Council Director, each back up Trump's claims about the growth of the economy. Held on the south lawn of the White House.
