On the job in Abomey : portraits of working people in Benin
Darcy Drew Greene, associate professor of journalism at Michigan State University, delivers a talk entitled "On the job in Abomey: portraits of working people in Benin." Using photographs she took while in Benin, Greene talks about the variety of jobs individuals in the country pursue, the roles heritage, gender, and age play in workplace success, and the different areas of work available to citizens. Greene answers questions from the audience. Greene is accompanied by Jim Greene, professor at Lansing Community College, who provides additional commentary on the time he also spent in Benin. The event is convened by professor John P. Beck from the MSU of Human Resources and Labor Relations.
