John Dingell reflects on his life and career
At an event held in his honor, sponsored by the Michigan Political History Society, U.S. Congressman John Dingell (Democrat-Michigan, 12th) reflects on his life and career and talks about the responsibilities of government and the importance of learning from history. Jocelyn Benson introduces UAW Vice President Cindy Estrada, DTE Senior Vice President Paul Hillegonds, University of Michigan administrators Cynthia Wilbanks and Ismael Ahmed, and former Michigan Attorney General Frank Kelley. They each discuss Dingell's career and laud his accomplishments. The event also includes a series of mini-lectures and workshops promoting civic engagement. Ends abruptly.
