Kim Wilcox, former Michigan State University provost and current chancellor of the University of California at Riverside, talks about his involvement in the MSU Faculty Grievance Policy (FGP) and the role of the university's Faculty Grievance Official (FGO). Wilcox recalls participating in a review of the FGP and making recommendations for improvement, encouraging all MSU faculty to serve on FGP review panels, and explains the role of the MSU's General Counsel in the faculty grievance process. Wilcox says that he believes that the FGP has been an effective way to resolve conflicts and disagreements in the academic system.
