What's doing in Western Michigan. 1949-02-12
In this installment of "What's doing in Western Michigan," Dr. Willis Dunbar summarizes the weeks news and upcoming events across Western Michigan. He reports on the regions cherry pie baking champions, several fatal car crashes, states highways are using paper snow fences, and how the state has ordered Ionia Jail to close because of fire hazards. Bob Tazelaar gives the lighter side of the news with stories such as how the name of a man dead for 10 years was drawn for jury service and how numerous odd items are appearing in the wanted ads like used batteries for a chicken brooder. Near the end of the broadcast, another broadcaster can be heard faintly speaking over the transcription.
