What's doing in Western Michigan. 1949-02-20
In this installment of "What's doing in Western Michigan," Dr. Willis Dunbar summarizes the weeks news and upcoming events across Western Michigan. He reports a 30 year old bank in Paw Paw has been purchased by First National, Allegan is holding a town meeting to address overcrowding in its schools, and Dollar Days is continuing in Three Rivers. Hugh Harper gives the lighter side of the news with stories such as how a new Latvian minister who doesn't speak any English is preaching to a church of people who don't speak Latvian, and depend on his wife to translate. He also describes the birthday party of a local 12 year old who is with missionaries in Africa.
