U.S. President George W. Bush speaks on American competitiveness
President George W. Bush speaks on the American Competitiveness Agenda at the 3M Corporate Headquarters in Minnesota. Bush discusses the uncertainty in America today due to the economy and emerging competitors in India and China. Bush says the way to make the U.S. a world leader again is to energize the economy with tax relief, keeping markets open, affordable medicine, and more research and development jobs. Bush provides examples of where government subsidized research has allowed the development of products that have changed and improved the way we live.
