That part of the resolution not already adopted was then, on motion of Bro. Haas, adopted. Also, a resolution as follows: Resolved, That we, as Patrons of Husbandry and farmers of Michigan, will, in the several political organizations to which we belong, use our best efforts to attend all primary meetings, caucuses, and conventions, and see to it, as far as lies in our power, that our own interests as agriculturists are not ignored, and that we will strive henceforth to have the farmers' interests cared for by intelligent farmers. On motion of Bro. Adam Haas, the resolution was adopted. Also the following preamble and resolutions: WHEREAS, The Order of Patrons of Husbandry, is builded upon the foundation of co-operation; and, WHEREAS, One of the principal, if not the chief corner stones of this foundation is "no taxation without representation;" and, WHEREAS, We, as Patrons, recognize woman as in every sense equal with man, as to her rights and privileges in the Grange; therefore, Resolved, That we can no longer consistently deny her the right of the elective franchise; and, Resolved, That we have no desire longer so to do, and that we would recommend the petitioning and instructing of delegates to that effect. On motion of Bro. W. P. Whitney, the preamble and resolutions were adopted. Also the following: That the resolution in regard to the electing of President and Vice President of the United States by popular vote of the people, (which the Commiittee referred back to the Grange without recommendation.) On motion of Bro. W. P. Whitney, the resolution was laid upon the table. Bro. W. J. Beal read the following resolution, by unanimous consent, and moved its adoption: Resolved, That the Chairman of the Committee on Agricultural Department be requested to furnish a copy of that part of his report referring to the Agricultural College, to Pres.
