Davis writes Lucinda noting that they are having pleasant weather, and that the Corps recently finished the railroad bridge. He describes Huntsville and details interactions with the boys in the Regiment. Davis writes that he firmly believes the war will end before his time expires, and that he would much rather continue as a member of the Pioneer Corps than participate in the Regiment.
