Davis writes to Lucinda noting that his health is good. He details that the Corps is now six miles west of Huntsville building a railroad bridge. Davis writes that he doesnt think more troops will be allowed to go home until the others return, in part because the line west of Huntsville has been weakened in order to supply more men to strengthen the Knoxville line. Davis writes that the 18th Regiment is still on Provost Duty in Huntsville. He also received a letter from Brother Isaac, however notes that he has not heard from Brother William. Davis writes that he still might not be paid until the next pay day.
