Davis writes Lucinda informing her that they are now in Nashville and that he is in good health. Davis details that he suspects they will leave here in several days and head for Savannah, Georgia. He writes that if they return to their old Division then he will return to the Pioneer Corps. He also notes that they have not received any mail since they left Milwaukee. Davis concludes by requesting that Lucinda write how she is liking the country and whether she would want to stay there.
