Davis writes to Lucinda noting that he is well. He details that they are now in Annapolis on a steamboat, and that they will soon be leaving to meet with General Sherman's Army. Davis writes that he has heard no news regarding peace. He concludes by detailing his anxiety caused by lack of correspondence with Lucinda.
