Harrison Traphagen writes to his parents from Camp Anderson, detailing that on his trip there he missed the mail train and had to take the freight, passing through Owosso where he met up with S. P. Williams and Abram Cook. Traphagen notes that the supposed arrest of Lieutenant Colonel Davies is a hoax, however there was a Court Martial held the previous Wednesday that sent four Jackson Ruffs to jail for thirty days including discharge from service with no pay. He continues by writing that a fair will be coming the following Wednesday, and that he is on his first duty as Corporal of the Guard. Traphagen concludes his letter by requesting that his parents tell the Culley boys that George Elsifur is in Stockton's Regiment, and noting that with about 95 tents in camp they are beginning to look like an actual military.
