This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. The first part of the letter is specifically to Harriet L. Price who he calls his daughter. He apologizes to Harriet for yelling at her about her actions before he left and asks for forgiveness. The second part is addressed to his wife and children. Dunckel talks about having to do picket duty and the "strange" people he's seen in Nashville. He wants to send money home soon.
