A letter to Guy Scofield from his sister Ellen. Ellen tells Guy that she has received his letters and is sorry to hear that he is sick and hopes that he is recovering. She tell him that she and other family members are sending him a box of food from home, and that she hopes that no one will take any of what is intended only for Guy. She tells him news from home and what she has heard from other friends and relatives in the army, as well as how the family's farm is doing. Finally, she asks Guy to write if he is able and writes that she hopes he will be able to get home soon.
