Bradley Letter : April 27, 1864
George Williams writes to Thomas regarding the steamship, Alice Dream. He asks Thomas to send an officer to investigate the ship's role in obstructing a wharf in Memphis. (Note: the original Alice Dream was captured and later burned by Confederate Brigadier General John Hunt Morgan in the summer of 1863. A smaller version of the ship was constructed then launched in February of 1864).
