Thomas-Prescott Letters : (Strattan) May 6, 1863
Strattan is sending an update about Amos' health to one of the Thomas family members. He states that Amos is worried about the smallpox reaching his face and scarring him, but everyone seems confident that he will survive. Strattan mentions that the Confederates surrounding them have retreated and many were taken prisoner by Union troops.
