This is a letter from Webster Teachout, a Union soldier, to his father. Teachout describes a long raid his unit went on, destorying supplies and means of transportation for the "rebels." During this raid, most of his personal effects were stolen. Also, he mentions fighting at Arlington, Bristol, and Marion.
