The influence of workplace emotion-focused coping norms
"This study explored the extent to which workplace emotion-focused coping (EFC) norms exist in workplaces and whether these norms influence EFC behaviors and distal employee outcomes. EFC norms were expected to exhibit a proximal influence on the extent to which individuals use EFC behaviors to deal with negative emotions in the workplace. EFC norms were predicted to influence distal outcomes as well, such as workgroup satisfaction, physical strain symptoms, person-environment workgroup fit, and workgroup helping intentions."--From abstract.
