Supply Chain Risk management (SCRM) is receiving increased attention recently due to the impact of unexpected disruptions (e.g., 2011 Tsunami in Japan, 2011 flooding in Thailand, etc.) and delays. However, managing risk in supply chains is a difficult task because of the inherent complexity of the global supply chain networks. My dissertation focuses on four essays related to risk management in supply chains with emphasis on strategic, tactical, and operational levels of decision-making.
