Accident occurred upon the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway at Clarksburgh on the 28th day of may, 1887, at 150 o'clock P.M. caused by; rail in siding turning over as train was passing through. The main track was occupied by a disabled engine, with train going west, while the train coming east was passing through the side track. The rail on the siding were poor, the engine was one of a new lot recently recieived, heavier than previous equipment, and when nearly in front of the disabled engine the inner rail on siding pressed over, letting the engine more toward main track. Pilots of engines were broken and some drawbars on ore train. Track blocked for 4 hours, no persons injured. Siding between Ishpeming and Michigamme are being relaid with steel. Casualties None.
