Harry Joshua Eustace
Harry Joshua Eustace was born in Rochester, New York on April 24, 1877. He attended Michigan Agricultural College (M.A.C.) and graduated with a B.S. degree in 1901. He became a professor of horticulture at M.A.C. in 1908 and chaired the Horticulture department from 1908 to 1918. Eustace maintained a national reputation that led to President Hoover asking him to join the Food and Drug Administration during World War I. Eustace-Cole Hall is named partly in his honor and serves as the home of the Honors College.
