Pauline Adams came to Michigan State College with her husband (Walter Adams, who served as MSU President from 1969-1970) in 1947 and began teaching communication skills in American Thought and Language (ATL) in 1956. With Geri Thornton, Mrs. Adams co-authored A Populist Assault: Sara E. Vandevar Emory on American Democracy, 1862-1895. She retired in 1992 as an associate professor in ATL.
