Charles Patrick 'Lash' Larrowe was born May 1, 1916 in Portland, Oregon. Lash earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Washington-Seattle and master's and doctorate degreesin ecomincs from Yale University. He joined the MSU faculty in 1956. He retired in 1989 from Michigan State University Department of Economics. He also served for period as MSU' s Faculty Grievance Officer. He was involved in civil and workers rights for over 60 years. He died on July 7, 2006.
