This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel got a letter from home that concerned him; it talked about selling property. He wants his wife to go to the doctor because of something wrong with her leg. He also sends money home to buy his children shoes.
