De Brand in den Rijksdag!
Poster consists of 30 lines of text in various sizes, printed in black ink. Title appears on first two lines in large print; Comm. Partij Holland appears at bottom. "1930s Dutch poster ... accusing the German government of starting the Reichstag Fire so that they could persecute communists (including Ernst Thälmann), and asking people to send protest telegrams to German embassies. The Reichstag fire was an arson attack on the Reichstag building (home of the German parliament) in Berlin on February 27th, 1933 .... The fire was used as evidence by the Nazi Party that communists were plotting against the German government. The event is seen as pivotal in the establishment of Nazi Germany."--emovieposter.com, viewed June 16, 2022.
